This photo captures a moment at sundown that, to me, could have been seen a hundred years or more ago. I was fortunate to be in this spot as the sun set over the Adriatic Sea with the buildings of the town of Rovinj providing a picturesque embellishment to the scene. From the colors of the buildings and the laundry handing out to dry, the reflection of the setting sun on the water to the tiny patch of blue sky at top right with a flock of birds flying about.
Rovinj is a Croatian fishing port on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula – just opposite western Italy.
