There are places when you walk or hike or even drive around in California where you find a field of these golden flowers this time of year. I have several photos of this flower that grows pretty much wherever it wants (or can).
This image captures the delicateness of the poppy petals and with the narrow depth of field – with the closest poppies in focus with a large group in the background out of focus- it clearly communicates the feeling of the large cluster of these beauties.
