There are so many wonderful scenes for us to capture around us.
I found this figure of Buddha praying in a pot within a garden at our hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia. While the pose of the figure is serene, I love the different shapes brought into the image by the plants – both the palm leaves seemingly from behind the Buddha and splaying out as well as the Bamboo poles on the right tase along with the black wooden poles forming an upright frame. And the lotus blossom floating at the feet of Buddha adds a nice focal point as if the Buddha is praying with the Lotus in mind.
I am reminded of this quote from Buddha with this image:
‘Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.’ – Buddha
