On the Big Island of Hawaii there is a magical place where you can experience a multitude of the Islands’ beautiful flowers and plants: Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden.
Walking down a trail to the ocean you pass through many different kinds of plants, many with flowers. That’s where I captured this photo of the Blooming Pagoda Flower.
The closer I look at nature the more I see. I love the unique shapes of these flowers with the open blooms, the flowers yet to bloom and the wispy arms of the plant reaching out – all with the fiery color that contrasts well with the verdant green background of the Hawaiian forest.
