On our first night in Chiang Mai (Thailand) last November there was a night market (my wife planned it so we experienced this). After checking into our hotel it was out into the streets to experienced it.
There were so many vendors, and wall to wall people… such excitement and energy. On the grounds of one of the (many) Buddhist temples in town there were a number of food vendors set-up. I captured this photo from behind their booth looking back at the patrons.
In my travel photography I regularly attempt to capture the feeling that you – the person viewing the image – are right there. I believe this photo does that well. I like the people interacting with each other, the colors throughout the scene. You can see the wares of a clothing vendor on the left side of the frame and I like the glow of the lights in contrast to the dark of the night.
