It was late in the afternoon with the setting sun casting a warm glow on everything. That’s when I saw this Heron perched on an artificial float at the Civic Center Lagoon. Its legs almost the same color and texture as the woven basket it sits upon. I love the textures of its wing feathers as they provide a sharp contrast to the soft green background and it’s reflection on the pond.
