Often times I make photos to capture the beauty that I am grateful to experience, other times I make photos to “freeze the moment”, that feeling. This is one of those times when it’s both – as I was walking the grounds of our hotel in Kona I looked up to see my wife standing on the seawall. I loved the image and the moment… the angle of the seawall as it cuts through the photo with the palm trees at right, the dramatic clouds in the beautiful blue sky and the woman I love all came together for a memory that I can revisit.
