Amboseli Flamingo

Today I take you to Lake Amboseli inside Amboseli National Park in Kenya, Africa. Our guides drove around the edge of the lake so we could see this flock of Flamingo.

I thought it was odd to see so many whose beaks are upside down. Looking into the why – I learned that’s how they strain water and mud from their food. They always eat with their head upside down for this purpose.
