I captured this sunset at Pacific Beach in San Diego, California. I had the seagulls rehearse the scene a few times and they got it right. In truth, I did see the gulls on the horizon and did choose to capture the moment I saw they might be in frame.
I do really like this image, with the clouds looking like an artist splayed them out. I like the small wave adding texture to the center of the frame and the small wave at the bottom of the frame with a little bit of the top of the wave lit with the golden color of the sun. I am still struggling with the intensity of the white hot sun, like it overpowers the image.
