One of the wonderful experiences in Southeast Asia are the street markets. Freshly prepared food with exotic ingredients at such affordable prices.
While visiting Chiang Mai (Northern Thailand) this past November, there were two festivals in the same week, and a night market that filled the sidewalks and a local park with all sorts of different vendors. I captured this image while walking around the festival food area.
Firstly I love the different colors and ingredients simmering in these big pots. Including the customers at left suggest to me the vibrant pace of the market with the proprieters in purple and black working to fill the customers orders. And the person at bottom sitting and looking like they’re ready for a rest.
