We drove almost 3,000 miles last summer on a road trip to the South Dakota. My wife had been wanting to visit Badlands National Park for years and so we did! We also took in Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park, and several other great stops.

We had just stopped at the visitor center at Wind Cave to set-up a time for a subterranean tour and we were driving out to the edge of the park to see Bison (which we did). As we drove out of the visitor center area, which was lower than some of the surrounding hills I saw this image with the road leading up to the sky which was filled with these lovely puffy clouds and the image bordered by the green grass on both sides.

I was so struck by the image I grabbed my camera, checked to ensure there were no other cars approaching and captured this photo.
