In San Diego recently I spent several hours in the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. It’s a lovely place that showcases centuries old Japanese gardening traditions and techniques.
There are peaceful streams and lush, manicured landscaping. I captured this photo of a Pink Azalea walking around the Garden. I like how there is one central flower in the frame but several others in the background – pointing to the abundance of the flowering plant. The range of pinks against the white petals and the few water droplets on the petal adds to the image.
