I usually enjoy capturing images of beautiful flowers in full bloom. But at the Singapore Botanic Gardens I was fascinated by this grouping of the Venus Fly Trap. This was in a greenhouse exhibit and you can see the moisture on the sides of the glass container they are “spilling out of”. I am struck by the variation in size, their spikes shapes and the colors from inside to out.

We spent several hours at the Gardens which are the first and only tropical botanic garden on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
