One of my favorite flowers is the Lotus.
It’s such a unique flower with vibrant colors. It is considered a holy flower in both Hinduism and Buddhism connected with purity, rebirth and divinity. It’s a model for life with its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning, sparklingly clean.
This solitary Lotus blossom stands out in stark contrast to it’s dark green leaves. I also like how the blossom rises above the water. I have captured photos of this beautiful flower in the ponds Vietnam, Bali and Singapore.
