The color red seems to “jump out at me” in this photo or Yaowarat Road in Bangkok, Thailand.  Perhaps fitting as this is the main street of Bangkok’s Chinatown – the largest Chinatown in Southeast Asia.  And in Chinese tradition the color red symbolizes luck, joy, and happiness.

Apart from the many neon signs in Chinese characters, there are red lights on both sides of the street in addition to the red brake lights on vehicles passing by.  We had just gotten off our Tuk Tuk which you see in the center of the photo when I attempted to capture the vibrancy of this neighborhood.
