I love this image of a butterfly snacking on the flower. The black lines on it’s orange wings and and the black and white spots on it’s head, body and outer wings. You can actually see it’s proboscis stuck in the center of one of the little white flowers as it sips on nectar. Thanks to the look-up feature in iPhone Photos I now know this it the Tiger Heliconian butterfly. I captured this beautiful insect in the Butterfly Garden at Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica.
