There is so much visually captivating on the grounds of the Grand Palace in Thailand’s capitol city of Bangkok. To me, one of the most colorful and physically imposing figures are the Yahsha. These 16’ tall colorful stautes stand in the courtyard of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha are guardian warriors who keep away evil spirits.

I love the very vivid colors on the face of the Yaksha along with the various shapes on it’s hat and ears, along with the mottled blue sky.
