When I travel I love to wake up early and experience the sunrise. In Santa Barbara, California our hotel was just blocks from the beach. I was out before sun-up and walked out on the breakwater where there is a small sandy spot overlooking the Santa Barbara harbor.
I saw a young boy and his father out surfing. I like this moment captured with the boy and his board heading back out to the surf, his dad at the same time riding a wave in while the sun peeks over the Santa Ynez Mountains in the distance.
