Though there are many, many temples in the Thai city of Chiang Mai this temple is unique in all the world. Wat Sri Suphan – called the Silver Temple – is made entirely of silver and aluminum – the floors, the ceiling, the walls and all inside.
I captured this photo looking towards the main Buddha inside the temple. I like the contrast between the darker areas and the bright golden sheen of the Buddha. You can see the shadows cast above the Buddha from the spires. And in the foreground, at top left and right you can see the decorative room divider with it’s filigree. Lastly, I like the shadows of smaller statues and ornamentation below the Buddha.
