Grateful for the people, the state and national agencies, and groups that protect and preserve the places where nature continues. We’re so fortunate to have these special places set aside for their own existence and for our recreation.
Here’s a photo I captured while mountain biking in China Camp State Park in Northern California. We noticed a deer on the bike path ahead of us so we stopped to enjoy the moment. I love the range of fall colors, consistent with the California late summer-fall landscape. The sunlight peeking over the hillside illuminates the deer as it ponders its next move.
