On our visit to Kenya a few years ago we chose an outfitter whose guides were the Maasai people. I captured this photo one afternoon on a game drive in the Maasai Mara. I asked our guide if I could capture his photo and he consented, standing in this pose without request.
There is much I like about this image – apart from the colorful costumer of the Maasai, the stark savannah that seems to go on forever… the two emblematic Acacia tress on the horizon, the colors across the scene. And those clouds – the amazing sky with it’s range of blue color and the puffy clouds. That sky is so beautifully perfect it looks like a backdrop.
