Visting Chiang Mai, Thailand during the Loi Krathong (also known as the Festival of Lights) is a great experience! This Thai festival takes place annually on the night of the full moon in the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar and the hundreds of Buddhist temples in the city are adorned with paper lanterns.
It’s a beautiful spectacle at night but also during the day as the lanterns are bright colors. I captured this photo while walking around the city during the festival and like the view looking up at the lanterns with the temple in the background.
