On our visit to Oahu last month we got to see the power of the North Shore surf in action. As we rounded the top of the island, moving from the east to north shore this was our first stop – Kawela Bay. We got out and enjoyed watching the wave action for a few minutes and I captured this photo. Having been tossed around in small swells I can only imagine the force of these big waves. Yikes!
