On a road trip in 2023 we stopped briefly at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument alongside highway 80. I captured a variety of shots with different composition of the statue of “Honest Abe”, many from the front looking up. But this is my favorite image of the statue, with the branches of a pine tree framing the statue. I was fortunate to have a very dramatic sky in the background that added “weight” to the image.
