For this week’s Travel Thursday let’s visit some Rice fields. I was surprised to learn that more than 50% of the world’s population rely on rice (for some 80% of their food source).
Other than Rice-a-Roni I did not have much rice growing up. But as we travel more to Southeast Asia I have realized the significance of rice. Here is one of my favorite images made on our visit to North Vietnam a few years ago.
