I can almost hear the water lapping as the Gondolas bobbed in the water. I love the vibrant blues in this photo – both in the water, the Gondola covers and the sky. The wooden poles keeping the Gondolas in place add an interesting vertical element. While the island of San Giorgio Maggiore provides an interesting background – the sun still shining on the Basilica and it’s bell tower.
I love being around water and so really enjoyed our visit to the city of Venice, Italy. So glad we chose to stay at a hotel inside the city so we experienced Venice in the quietness of evening and morning, before the other tourists came in from the cruise ships and outside the city.
