I always find our County Fair to provide a feast for the eyes as well as for the palette. Well, maybe not the refined gourmet palette but for the junk food tastes. Growing up I would fancy a Carmel Apple like these, but would eat off the caramel and not much of the Apple.
I captured this photo at the Marin County Fair looking through the glass of the food trailer in the carnival. I like the patterns of the apples and their sticks, with the pink and blue cotton candy in the background. The essence of summer or at least one part of the summer experience for me.
