On the fringe of a beautiful bay on the Big Island of Hawaii sits this small, wooden church – St. Peters By the Sea.   As you might imagine, it’s one of the most photographed churches in Hawaii, with Kahulu’u Bay behind (and a popular beach park for both snorkeling and surfing) to it’s left side.

I love the blue theme throughout the photo – from the sea and the sky to the trim around the building.  The green foliage add another element to the image a well a some hade to white panels on the church that night have caused an overexposed look.

This Catholic Church – with only 12 pews – was built in 1880 in another location and moved to its current site in 1912.
