While walking through the verdant jungle trail at Akaka Falls on the Big Island of Hawaii I was careful to look all around as there was expressions of natures beauty all around us. I captured the photo of this little plant wanting to have the flower really stand out in the forest.
By selecting a narrow depth of field, or a smaller area of focus, I was able to keep the flower of the Mottled Tooth Thread sharply in focus while the background becomes a blurry backdrop. Such a delicate little beauty.
