Just outside our hotel room in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii I saw this beautiful plant with these long white blossoms. It’s also known as the poison blob or the spider lily and it’s apparently very poisonous. But I found it very beautiful. Just a week after I photographed this plant it reminded me of fireworks, a humans attempt to obtain much the same kind of look.
